Astronomy Courses

An astronomy course consists of one or more specialized lectures in astronomy or related sciences, specially prepared for teachers at various levels, which may focus on the scientific basics of astronomy in general, or on certain astronomical topics. Still, some courses are dedicated to students. And JAS is currently preparing for courses in astronomy for the layman, and other courses for its own members, due to begin in the spring of 1998.

The 2nd Astronomy Course (October 9-10, 1996), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, in Irbid.
The 3rd Astronomy Course (October 9-10, 1996), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, in Al-Salt.
The 4th Astronomy Course (October 9-10, 1996), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, in Al-Karak.
The 5th Astronomy Course (October 9-10, 1996), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, in Ma'an.
The 6th Astronomy Course (October 14-15, 1996), in cooperation with UNRWA in Zarka city.
The 7th Astronomy Course (November 9, 1996), in cooperation with Noor Al-Hussein Foundation in Aqaba.
The 8th Astronomy Course (December 11, 1996), in cooperation with the Educational Development Center/UNRWA.
The 9th Astronomy Course (March 15-18, 1997), in cooperation with the Educational Resourses Center/the Ministry of Education.
The 10th Astronomy Course (March 22-25, 1997), in cooperation with the Educational Resourses Center/the Ministry of Education.
The 11th Astronomy Course (March 29-April 1, 1997), in cooperation with the Educational Resources Center/the Ministry of Education.
The 12th Astronomy Course (June 30, 1997), in cooperation with the Educational Resources Center.
