4th Arab Conference in Astronomy and Space Sciences

Organizers

Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences (AUASS), Institute for Astronomy and Space Sciences (IASS), and Jordanian Astronomical Society (JAS), are the organizers of the 4th Arab Conference in Astronomy and Space Sciences (4th ACASS).

Purpose

The purpose of this conference is to introduce some of the recent developments and applications of Astronomy and Space Sciences. This conference is designed also to give the Arab astronomers and scientists the opportunity to interact with each other and with distinguished international scientists in the field of astronomy and Space Sciences, and to enhance the already existing collaboration between them in the above important field of research. Beside to discuss and develop the internal curriculum of the AUASS and to establish different Scientific committees in different field along with Scientific election of new members for the Higher council of AUASS.

Participation

The number of participants is limited to eighty. All local expenses will be covered by the ACASS. Registration cost will be 100 US$. There will be excursions to some antiquities in Jordan. The cost for this excursions will be announced due time.

Aspects of the Conference

Location

The 4th ACASS will be hosted by the Institute of Astronomy and Space Sciences (IASS) of Al al-Bayt University , Mafraq – Jordan . Accommodation for all Participants will be at Al al-Bayt University guest rooms.

Deadline

Abstract of the contributed papers should be received before 30th June 2000, and the full paper before 10th August 2000. The second announcement will be around mid of June 2000.
