Astronomical Camps
- The 1st Astronomical camp (May, 1990) in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe Austin comet.
- The 2nd Astronomical camp (July 31st-August 2nd, 1991) in Al-Azraq.
- The 3rd Astronomical camp (June 24th-26th, 1992) in Al-Azraq.
- The 4th Astronomical camp (August 10th-13th, 1993) in Wadi Rum, to observe the Perseids meteor shower.
- The 5th Astronomical camp (November, 1993) in Al-Azraq, to observe the Leonids meteor shower.
- The 6th Astronomical camp (July 18th-21st, 1994) in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe the Shoemaker-Levy 9 comet crash with Jupiter.
- The 7th Astronomical camp (August 10th-12th, 1994) in Al-Azraq, to observe the Perseids meteor shower, 863 Perseids were observed.
- The 8th Astronomical camp (August 23th-25th, 1995) in Dana Natural Reserve, to observe the Comet d'Arrest.
- The 9th Astronomical camp (November 17th-19th, 1995) in Al-Shomary Natural Reserve, to observe the Leonids meteor shower.
- The 10th Astronomical camp (March 14th-15th, 1996) in Al-Azraq, to observe the Comet Hyakutake, another 12 objects were observed.
- The 11th Astronomical camp (March 31st-April 2nd, 1996), in Al-Azraq, in cooperation with Al-Zarka School, 19 objects were observed, including Comet Hale-Bopp and Hyakutake.
- The 12th Astronomical camp (July 11th-12th, 1996), in Al-Azraq, 35 objects were observed, including Comet Hale-Bopp and Comet Kopff.
- The 13th Astronomical camp (August 10th-13th, 1996), in Al-Azraq, to observe the Perseids meteor shower, 2133 meteors were observed, 1481 of which were Perseids.
- The 14th Astronomical camp (November 16th-17th, 1996), in Al-Azraq, to observe the Leonids meteor shower, 86 meteors were observed, 65 of which were Leonids.
- The 15th Astronomical camp (December 12th-13th, 1996), in Al-Azraq, to observe the Geminids meteor shower, unfortunately it was cloudy ! However we were able to see 46 meteors, 43 of which were Geminids.
- The 16th Astronomical camp (April 2nd-4th, 1997), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe the Great Comet Hale-Bopp, another 29 objects were observed. In NASA's site you can find a picture of comet Hale-Bopp, taken during this camp.
- The 17th Astronomical camp (May 4th-7th, 1997), in Al-Azraq, in cooperation with The International Meteor Organization (IMO), to observe the Eta Aquarids meteor shower, 140 meteors were observed, 62 of which were Aquarids, another 30 objects were observed, including Comet Hale-Bopp. In NASA's site you can find two pictures of the comet Hale-Bopp, taken during this camp.
- The 18th Astronomical camp (August 10th-13th, 1997), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe the Perseids meteor shower, 716 meteors were observed, 427 of which were Perseids.
- The 19th Astronomical camp (November 17th-18th, 1997), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe the Leonids meteor shower, about 41 meteors were observed, 32 of which were Leonids.
- The 20th Astronomical camp (August 11th-14th, 1998), in Al-Azraq, to observe the Perseids meteor shower.
- The 21st Astronomical camp (September 6th-7th, 1998), in Al-Azraq, to observe meteors by radio, 173 meteors were observed in three hours.
- The 22nd Astronomical camp (October 7th-9th, 1998), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe the Draconids meteor shower, about 38 meteors were observed visually, 26 of which were Draconids, and 128 meteors were observed by radio.
- The 23rd Astronomical camp (November 16th-18th, 1998), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe the Leonids meteor shower, Jordan was very well-placed to witness the outburst of meteors.
- The 24th Astronomical camp (February 11th-12th, 1999), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe meteors by radio, 813 meteors were observed within seven hours.
- The 25th Astronomical camp (The Silver Jubilee !!) (May 13th-14th, 1999), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe deep sky objects.
- The 26th Astronomical camp (June 9th-11th, 1999), in Ash-Shouneh, dedicated for general observation.
- The 27th Astronomical camp (July 14th-16th, 1999), in Al-Azraq, dedicated for JAS' Astronomy Clubs, training camping.
- The 28th Astronomical camp (August 12th-13th, 1999), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe the Perseids '99 meteor shower.
- The 29th Astronomical camp (September 09th-10th, 1999), in Ash-Shoubak, dedicated to observe Jumada Ath-Thani Crescent. JAS did see 18:17 hours crescent.
- The 30th Astronomical camp (September 12th-13th, 1999), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe meteors by radio.
- The 31st Astronomical camp (September 15th-16th, 1999), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to give training for scouting groups.
- The 32nd Astronomical camp (November 16th-19th, 1999), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe THE GREAT LEONIDS '99 STORM ! It is also named: The First International Astronomical Camping.
- The 33rd Astronomical camp (April 07th-08th, 2000), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to give training to school students.
- The 34th Astronomical camp (May 04th-06th, 2000), in Al-Azraq, in cooperation with The International Meteor Organization (IMO), to observe the Eta Aquarids meteor shower.
- The 35th Astronomical camp (June 14th-16th, 2000), in Ash-Shonah Ash-Shamaleyyah, organized for general observation.
- The 36th Astronomical camp (June 27th-28th, 2000), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe meteors by radio (Multi-Antenna Radio-Meteor Observation).
- The 37th Astronomical camp (July 27th-28th, 2000), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe comet S4 Linear.
- The 38th Astronomical camp (August 11th-13th, 2000), in Al-Azraq, dedicated to observe the Perseids 2000 meteor shower.
